1 O God, we have heard with our ears,
Our bfathers have told us
The cwork that You did in their days,
In the ddays of old.
2You with Your own hand edrove out the nations;
Then You fplanted them;
You gafflicted the peoples,
Then You hspread them abroad.
3For by their own sword they idid not possess the land,
And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your jarm and the klight of Your presence,
For You lfavored them.

4You are mmy King, O God;
nCommand
Lit salvation
victories for Jacob.
5Through You we will ppush back our adversaries;
Through Your name we will qtrample down those who rise up against us.
6For I will rnot trust in my bow,
Nor will my sword save me.
7But You shave saved us from our adversaries,
And You have tput to shame those who hate us.

And we will vgive thanks to Your name forever.
